What to expect
Free outdoor walking trail from 13th April to 9th June 2024
With a stampede of colour and creativity, Elmer and his friends bring a ton of fun and laughter to our local area, giving our incredible community the chance to come together to celebrate everything that makes our hometown so wonderfully unique. This free outdoor walking trail is great for personal wellbeing for residents and visitors of all age, and will provide a welcome boost to our tourism and wider economy.
Celebrating Blackpool
The trail will celebrate Blackpool’s history, its tourism heart, its culture and the many areas of natural beauty reminding us why we simply love where we live. You can do the trail your way – you might want to dip in and out of areas over the eight weeks, spend a weekend completing the trail, or if you are feeling energetic, do it all in a day!
Trail Maps
Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool is open to everyone and we hope that as many people as possible will explore all or parts of the fully-accessible trail over the spring. Use our specially-designed trail map, available at key town centre locations across Blackpool including our dedicated pop-up shop or use the official trail app to help you explore.
Trail App
Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool will include a FREE art trail app to show you the location of each Elmer and the herds of small Elmers, along with information about our Official Partners, Sponsors and artists.
Farewell Event
When their time in Blackpool has ended, our Herd will join together for one time only for a special final farewell weekend in June.
Auction raising funds for Brian House
And after entertaining and bringing people together, the legacy of Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool continues as the large sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for the Fylde coast’s only children’s hospice, Brian House.
