Help bring our Elmer sculptures to life
In spring 2024, Blackpool will welcome a herd of individually designed Elmer sculptures to Blackpool in the form of Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool. This is will be a free public art trail that will run from 13th April to 9th June 2024.
For our chosen artists, designers and illustrators, the art trail will offer an exciting opportunity to have their work showcased to a mass audience and in a truly unique way. They will play a pivotal role in bringing our Elmer sculptures to life, and make the art trail a truly magnificent event for tourists and locals.
Over the last few months we’ve been calling on artists far and wide- with all different approaches, creativity and backgrounds- to submit their artwork. And we have not been disappointed! We’ve had hundreds of submissions; each one with its own story and style.
Our submission deadline was Saturday 30th September 2023. Thank you to everyone who entered a design.

All submissions received will now be shortlisted by our expert selection panel ahead of a special matchmaker event – the first opportunity for sponsors and designs to meet. If you are one of the artists selected, you will be commissioned to customise one of the Elmer sculptures which will be displayed in Blackpool next year.
At the end of the trail, all 30 of our Elmer sculptures will be auctioned off at a special event, to raise much vital funds for Brian House Children’s Hospice.
Please keep checking our website and social media for more information about our artists programme.
